Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of CHOP'D Audio ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

CHOP'D Audio is operated by Looplair Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We may transfer the Service to a new entity (CHOP'D Audio Ltd) in the future — if that happens we will update these Terms and notify you.

Questions? Email us at hello@chopdaudio.com

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CHOP'D Audio. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@chopdaudio.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscription & billing

  • Your first month is billed at $0.99. After that your subscription renews at $9.99 per month until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

5. What you can do with downloaded chops

When you download a chop, you receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use that audio in your own creative work — beats, productions, demos, and personal projects.

Downloads are permanent. If you cancel your subscription, you keep everything you have already downloaded. You will lose access to new downloads until you resubscribe.

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or make the raw chop audio available to third parties in isolation (i.e. you cannot sell or give away the chop itself). It must be incorporated into an original production.

6. Sample clearance — your responsibility

CHOP'D Audio provides audio material sampled from commercially released recordings. These chops are not royalty-free and are not cleared for commercial release.

If you use a CHOP'D chop in a recording you intend to release commercially — including distribution on streaming platforms, sync licensing, or any release generating revenue — it is your sole responsibility to obtain the necessary sample clearances from the original rights holders (typically the master rights holder and the publishing/composition rights holder).

CHOP'D Audio does not provide sample clearance services, legal advice, or any warranty that a chop is cleared for any particular use. We provide the source information for every chop you download so you always know what you are working with.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Looplair Ltd and CHOP'D Audio from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your failure to obtain required clearances.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to circumvent any access controls or download limits
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or automate access to the Service
  • Redistribute CHOP'D content outside your own productions

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund.

8. Intellectual property

The CHOP'D Audio platform, branding, curation, and original content are owned by Looplair Ltd. All rights are reserved. The underlying sampled recordings remain the property of their respective rights holders.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Looplair Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses arising from sample clearance disputes, loss of data, or loss of revenue.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim arising.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email if the changes are material. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
