Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data CHOP'D Audio collects, why, and how we use it. We handle your data responsibly and in compliance with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

Account data

Your email address, display name, and authentication method (email/password or Google OAuth). Collected when you create an account.

Payment data

Subscription status and billing history. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your raw card details. Stripe may store your payment information in accordance with their privacy policy.

Download history

A record of which chops you have downloaded, stored so you can access your library and source information at any time.

Usage & analytics data

We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to understand how the Service is used. These tools may collect IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and similar technical data.

3. Why we use your data

Performance of contract — We use your account and payment data to provide the subscription service, process payments, deliver downloads, and manage your account.

Legitimate interests — We use analytics data to understand how people use CHOP'D Audio so we can improve it.

Legal obligation — We may retain certain records to comply with financial and legal obligations.

4. Third-party services

  • Supabase — database and authentication. Data may be stored on EU servers.
  • Stripe — payment processing, PCI-DSS certified.
  • Google (OAuth) — if you sign in with Google, your email and name are shared with us.
  • Google Analytics / Meta Pixel — site usage and marketing analytics.
  • Resend — transactional email (account confirmations, receipts).

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it (e.g. billing records kept for up to 7 years).

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

7. Cookies

CHOP'D Audio uses cookies to keep you logged in and to understand how the Service is used. Analytics cookies may be set by Google and Meta. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email.
